Organized tennis for you
The club offers competitive tennis for men and women at all levels with USTA team tennis plus recreational club league play for men and women at all levels. We make it easy to play as much tennis as you want. Tennis staff organizes club leagues to include women’s, mixed and men’s for club members. Members only need to show up and play. It’s that easy and that simple.
Everyone Knows Your Name
Green Tree is the “Cheers” of tennis clubs where “everyone knows your name.” Members and staff know each other as do all the members. It is a great place to meet new people and form long lasting friendships. Players genuinely like and enjoy being with each other. It makes for a great time on court.
We have it all . . . singles, women’s, men’s and mixed.
The club offers men’s, women’s, mixed doubles along with singles play. Whether it’s the club leagues or USTA/SAPTA team tennis (18+), players choose what they would like to play in. Green Tree participates also in 40+ and 55+ USTA team tennis as well as specialty city tourneys like “combo” and “tri-level.” The tennis staff, led by Courtney P. Mayer, USPTA and tennis professional Bill Macom is involved and engaged with all the teams. This year we have a Collegiate Tennis Staff that includes Abby Csengery and Daniel Gill Green. Green Tree USTA teams have won many city championships over the years and advanced to Texas state sectionals.

Single and family tennis memberships are available for active tennis players who play recreationally and/or competitively; those of you who want to learn to play tennis and for those families who have kids who are learning tennis and/or competing in USTA tournament and/or playing for their school team.

This beautiful 8 acre facility is located just inside Loop 410, ten minutes from IH-10 and 281. Being close to these highways, makes Green Tree easily accessible from anywhere in town.

USTA Team Tennis headlines the
adult tennis programs. We love
team tennis at Green Tree. Tennis
staff is actively involved in all
aspects of it. All levels for ladies
and men’s USTA teams are
represented with Saturday ladies
3.0,4,0 and 4.5 levels. Saturday
men compete at the 3.5 and 4.0
levels. The SAPTA 3.0 ladies play
on Wednesday mornings. USTA
mixed teams include 6.0,7.0,8.0
and 9.0 levels. Players find the
team aspect to be fun.

Monday evening ladies league
is for 4.0,4.5 and 5.0 levels;

evening mixed is for 7.0,8.0 and
9.0 levels and the 3.0, 3.5, 40
men meet Thursday evenings.
Leagues run throughout the year. Formats include round
robin and progressive.

Courtney P. Mayer, USPTA, Bill Macom (St. Mary’s University) and Andrea Villareal head up group lessons for men and women at all levels. Group lessons run throughout the year. The ladies meet Thursday evenings and the men meet on Monday nights. In the summer, Tennis staff runs ladies clinics from 9-10:30am for all levels of ladies. Private lessons are also available. We welcome new players to the game!

Perfect for active players who play

It is also for those of you who want to learn to play tennis; perfect for families with kids who are learning tennis, competing in tournaments or playing for their school team. The kids will love the junior Olympic size pool. The club boasts 7 lighted hardcourts plus beautiful covered cedar decks where you can watch and cheer your teammates on to victory!

A Welcoming Club
Green Tree Tennis club welcomed me and my family with open arms when we arrived in San Antonio last spring. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed summer camp with great tennis and swimming instructions. Both my kiddos advanced tremendously in just one summer. My husband and I play with Green Tree regularly and really love the learning environment and friendly people!! Easy-going Atmosphere
My wife Patty and I have been members at Green Tree Tennis Club since the late '80s. Our kids used the tennis skills they learned to play varsity tennis at Marshall HS. We've played club and USTA tennis matches there, attended annual club parties and mixers and summer "Friday Night Tennis/BBQ" parties. Courtney (owner) has taught me tennis lessons, supported my choir concerts when I was a high school choir director, and attended our 25th wedding anniversary party. We have LOVED these people and the easy-going atmosphere that makes tennis a joy.
